The
PROJECT

We are "Drop the Act," a collective of circus performers who, back in 2020, envisioned the potential of NFTs and smart contracts as a novel means of transforming our craft. As we contemplated ways to extend our careers and explore innovative avenues, motion capture technology emerged as an exciting prospect.

In 2022, recognizing the alignment of our goals, we made the strategic decision to join forces with the world-renowned circus company “The 7 Fingers” and their technology department: LAB7. This union has empowered us to fully embrace the possibilities of Web 3.0, forging a new path for artistic expression and sustainable income stream for independent artists through cutting-edge technology.

Our Values

Ownership & Conservation

For a circus artist or a dancer, your art lies in your body and your moves. You train, you create unique moves and routines, you get hired for a show, you perform… and then it’s gone.

With this project, we aim at preserving our artist’s moves and offering them a way to actually own them.

Revenue Stream

Instead of one-shot revenues when performing, with this project artists can earn revenues each and every time their moves are purchased through the blockchain technology. The smart contract opens new avenues for independent artists to monetize heir work.

Reach New Audience

The audience of a show is always determined and limited by the location and capacity of the venue.

By going digital and into the metaverse, artists get to show their art to a much larger audience, which will keep growing day after day.

Drop The Act is backed by the visionary team behind The 7 Fingers, who have been
celebrated globally for their groundbreaking performances and artistic collaborations,
including high-profile events like the Olympic Games and Broadway productions.

FAQ

A: An NFT (Non-Fungible Token) is a type of digital certificate on the blockchain that proves ownership of a unique object, such as a digital artwork. Each NFT is unique and cannot be exchanged for the same thing, illustrating non-fungibility. For example, an NFT representing an artist’s work does not have the same value as another NFT by the same artist. To learn more, check out our FAQ on Artizyou.

A: An NFC is a specialized form of NFT used to secure intellectual property rights and formally manage licenses. While an NFT can represent a digital artwork, an NFC can be used to certify the authenticity and ownership of creative or scientific works, allowing authors to control how their works are used and receive appropriate royalties.

A: Artizstore is transforming the way creatives sell and manage their work by using smart contracts to automate transactions and resale rights. For example, a photographer can sell a photo as an NFT and automatically receive payments if that photo is resold in the future, ensuring an ongoing revenue stream.

A: A smart contract is a program on a blockchain that automatically executes the terms of a contract once predefined criteria are met. For example, if an NFT is sold, the smart contract can instantly transfer ownership and distribute payments between the artist and previous owners according to the coded rules.

A: Drop the Act artists use smart contracts to ensure that every time an NFT is sold or resold, a portion of the revenue is automatically distributed to them. This allows artists to benefit financially from their artwork in the long term, encouraging continued creation and participation in the digital ecosystem.

A: To buy an NFT or NFC on Artizstore, you must first log in with a compatible digital wallet. After selecting the artwork, you can pay for it directly through the digital wallet, and
